The singer was recently spotted in Los Angeles, out for dinner with English DJ and record producer Fred Again.

So was it a date? Well, the pair were spotted dining out together at Barney’s Beanery in West Hollywood and Selena shared a selfie of them together to her IG story.

While gossip blogger Deux Moi sent out a blind item, seeming to refer to Selena and Fred. Writing: “This A list actress, singer and entrepreneur was spotted on a date with this British musician in LA. Celeb dating is rare, init?”

So it’s looking like Selena might have been listening to London Boy a bit too much and got herself a British beau.

BUT, don’t get too excited, because there are some holes in the theory. Firstly, the pair weren’t linked before and Selena confirmed she was single less than a month ago, and going public with a romance so soon is rare. There are also conflicting reports about their date night.

As a witness at Entertainment Tonight claimed: “it didn’t seem like a date.”

But there is another possibility behind the pair’s dinner date, as the actress recently hinted she is back working on new music.

The 31-year-old has shared several picks of herself in the recording studio lately, leading fans to guess new singles or an album is on the way.

Fred has collaborated with Ed Sheeran, Swedish House Mafia, Dermot Kennedy, FKA Twigs, and Skrillex. So, he could be working with Selena on a new project.

The London native is heavily linked to the British aristocracy. His father is King’s Counsel barrister, Charles Anthony Warneford Gibson. While his great-grandfather is aristocrat and financier Shane O’Neill, 3rd Baron O’Neill. He is also a descendant of the Earl of Dundonald, and British socialite Ann Fleming.

So we will have to wait and see if Selena is busy with a new beau, or making music.
