It’s Confirmed: Laura Whitmore Is Back For Summer Love Island
We can't wait to see one of our favourite couples back on our screens.
We’re already excited for the summer series of Love Island, as now we don’t know what to do with ourselves at 9pm every night.
ITV had already confirmed the summer series would still be going ahead, and today news broke that Bray native Laura Whitmore would be the host once again.
Laura had been asked to step in as presenter for the winter season due to the personal issues Caroline Flack was having, but apparently she was only set to cover for one season.
Laura was praised for how professionally she handled herself in the wake of Caroline’s tragic death, as the live finale was just a week after her passing. Her boyfriend Iain Stirling also commented on how strong she was at this time saying she was; “more incredible than I could have ever imagined.”
Throughout the season we loved to see the Irish presenter on our screens and we were impressed at how she managed to fill shoes as big as Caroline’s.
Not only that but we were mildly obsessed with her wardrobe choices throughout the season. We’d say her stylist is already planning her summer wardrobe selection.
Love Island is one of the biggest shows on TV, and it has been reported that the presenting package with Laura is worth a cool €1 million. It has also been announced that her boyfriend Iain Stirling is also due to return.
