It’s Over! Jennifer Lawrence Splits From Boyfriend Darren Aronofsky

Jennifer Lawrence grew close to her director, Darren Aronofsky, when they were working on the psychological thriller, Mother. Once filming came to an end, they started dating and were together for about a year, but now it seems they’ve called it quits.

An insider told People Magazine that the 21 year age gap between 27-year-old Jennifer and 48-year-old Darren is the main reason for the split. “There is a huge age difference, and they are different people,” the source said. “Each has to look practically to the future. Jen has yet to figure out her life and how it will evolve. He has responsibilities in life that she has yet to experience.”

Meanwhile, Jennifer suggested in an interview (below) that they drifted apart when the film they’d made together received negative reviews. “I’d come back to the hotel and the last thing I want to talk about or think about is a movie. He comes back from the tour and that’s all he wants to talk about.

“I get it,” she said. “It’s his baby. He wrote it. He directed it. So I was doing double-duty of trying to be a supportive partner while also being like ‘Can I please, for the love of God, not think about Mother for one second?!’”
