They say you don’t get to choose your family, but some lucky kids might just get that chance. ITV’s new dating show; My Mum, Your Dad has a big twist.

ITV has announced a new Love Island Spin-off series which will give middle-aged single parents a chance at finding love.

Television presenter Davina McCall will guide a group of single contestants, all over the age of 35 throughout the series hoping to help them find their perfect match. The contestants who have been nominated by their grown-up children will live together in a gorgeous country house located in the English countryside.

What these single parents don’t know is that their children will be watching their every move and playing matchmaker. The kids will get to see all the action of their parents’ journeys to find love but also have the power to decide who they’ll be matched with on one-to-one dates.

During what some are calling  “The Middle-Aged Love Island” these children will get to see their parents in a brand new light.

Davina is just as excited about this new project as we are. In a video on Instagram Davina said; “Omg.. I manifested and it came true… I made it happen. I willed there to be an amazing new dating programme for grown-ups’.
