Jacob Elordi Joked That Timothée Chalamet Was Almost Cast In Saltburn – And It’s Got Fans Wondering

If you aren’t obsessed with Saltburn, we simply can’t relate to you.

The disturbing and surprising film has sent the world into a spiral, especially due  to the incredible acting from both Jacob Elordi and Barry Keoghan!

Now, Jacob Elordi has revealed that the iconic movie could have been very different thanks to a casting choice (though he was really just winding Barry up).

While chatting in a promotional video for the hit flick, Jacob asks Barry, “Barry, what drew you to Saltburn?”

Barry replies, “When I met Emerald (Fennell, the director), she told me that she had you (Jacob) down to do it, so Emerald, yourself…what about you?”

Jacob responds, “Definitely Emerald, yeah. It was Emerald.”

The Euphoria star gives a cheeky grin before joking, “Then she told me she wanted Timothée Chalamet for it.

“And I said, have you thought about Barry Keoghan?”

Barry and Jacob then share a giggle in the hilarious clip.

For those of you who haven’t seen the film (what are you waiting for?!), Barry’s character of Oliver Quick is practically built for the kind of work the Dublin actor has done before.

Of course, this jokey interaction between the two stars has sent fans into a whirlwind, sharing memes and thoughts.

People can’t help but imagine what it would have been like if Barry’s character of Oliver Quick had been played by Timothée Chalamet.

Honestly, we don’t think anyone could have pulled it off like Barry!
