Jada Pinkett Smith Hints That Red Table Talk Will Deal With Will Smith’s Oscars Slap

Ohh we have been waiting for this one!

With the return of Red Table Talk this week, the show hosted by Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith and Jada’s mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris, viewers were keeping an eye out for a reference to the dramatic events at the Oscars.

For those who need a refresh, Will Smith slapped Chris Rock on stage at the Oscars after he made a joke about Jada’s hair.

Although the trailer for this season didn’t give us any clues, the first episode opened addressing the situation, and hinting that the family would be discussing Will Smith’s Oscars slap at the Red Table at a later date.

The statement read, “With all that has happened in the last few weeks, the Smith family has been focusing on deep healing. Some of the discoveries around our healing will be shared at The Table when the time comes.

“Until then…The Table will continue offering itself to powerful, inspiring, and healing testimonies like that of our incredibly impressive first guest. Thanks for joining us, Jada.”

The Red Table has been the centre of many interesting discussions, we flocked there to watch Jordyn Woods address her cheating scandal with Tristan Thompson, as well as to hear Olivia Jade speak out for the first time since her parents’ college admissions scandal.

They deal with drama in a really deep way and we very much look forward to seeing the discussion of the slap, will they get Chris Rock around the table? We will have to wait and see…
