Jay Z Just Revealed A Worrying Detail About His Marriage To Beyonce And Now We’re Confused AF

We’ve always thought of Beyonce and Jay Z as a power couple. Up until recently, we always assumed that they were one of those strong, unbreakable pairings that even the demands of show business couldn’t shake.

But then, the sh*t hit the fan. There was the lift incident with Solange, the cheating allegations in Bey’s Lemonade album, and a seeming admission to wrong doing by Jay in his new album 4:44.

Now Jay seems to be revealing further cracks in the couple’s marriage, claiming that it “wasn’t totally built on the 100 per cent truth.”

In a video for the album, he explains “I just ran into this place and we built this big, beautiful mansion of a relationship that wasn’t totally built on the 100 per cent truth and it starts cracking. Things start happening that the public can see.

“Then we had to get to a point of, ‘OK, tear this down and let’s start from the beginning… It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”

Woah. What? Jay then went on to recall a time when he begged Beyonce to stay with him.

“I was on a boat, and I had the best time,” he explained. “I was like, ‘Man, this is great.’ Then she had to leave… I was, like, crushed: ‘Man, I don’t even feel like this’.

“What is happening to my body right now? I don’t even feel like this. Did I just say… ‘Don’t leave?'”

Things seemed to unravel for the pair in 2014 when leaked footage appeared to show Bey’s sister Solange attacking Jay in a lift. Since then, both artists have addressed problems in their marriage via their music.

Let’s hope this means that they can begin to move on.
