Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon Are Reuniting For A New Show

It lands this autumn.

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon first appeared together on Friends, when Reese played Rachel’s dramatic sister Jill back in 2004.

Now, 15 years later, they are back working together on a more serious, grittier show.

The two will star alongside one another as ambitious newscasters on The Morning Show.

The show “provides an inside look at the lives of the people who help America wake up in the morning, exploring the unique challenges faced by the women (and men) who carry out this daily televised ritual,” according to Deadline.

The Morning Show also stars Steve Carrel whose character ‘is trying to remain relevant in the ever-changing media landscape’.

Director Mimi Leder said:

“It’s a great show starring Jen and Reese and in many ways, it thematically follows the movie I just made, in that it deals with the #MeToo and Time’s Up movements and women in power.”

The first trailer was just recently released and it shows cameras panning around a TV news studio while the voices of the three characters reflect their feelings about journalism and TV news.

The show is part of Apple’s streaming service Apple TV and will land this autumn.
