Jennifer Lopez Has Addressed Those Break-Up Rumours

Last week the internet was alight with rumours that Jennifer Lopez and her partner Alex Rodriguez had called it quits on their two-year engagement.

It has now been reported that the two are denying their spit. It comes as the pair released a statement (obtained by People) to confirm that they’re “working through some things”. The following day Jennifer also shared a video on TikTok where she calls the rumours ‘dumb’.

But where did these rumours begin? Well, over the weekend People reported that the pair had last been seen together on the 1st of March, with multiple sources confirming the breakup. With one insider saying:

“This has been a long time coming. They are tied in their business worlds so it’s not a cut and dry breakup. It’s taken a while for them to even think about untangling it all.”

In the TikTok Jennifer shared yesterday headlines from the couples apparent split flashed on screen followed by a clip of Jennifer mouthing the words ‘You’re dumb’.

Jennifer and Alex have been dating since 2017, first meeting back in 2005 while Jennifer was still married to ex-husband Marc Anthony. Announcing their engagement in 2019, the couple were forced to postpone their nuptials last year amid the pandemic.
