Julia Fox Explains Her Viral ‘Unkhut Jehhmmms’ Moment

Julia Fox has been having a bit of a moment lately, going viral for her dates with Ye, her bold makeup looks, and shocking outfits. But, hands down, what she’s best associated with at the moment is her pronunciation of Uncut Gems.    

In case you missed (which, how is that even possible?) Julia went on the Call Her Daddy and was asked to explain what a muse is, to which Julia replied, “I mean, I was Josh Safie’s muse when he wrote Uncut Gems (or Unkhut Jehhhmms) .” 

The hilarious clip went viral because A.) she didn’t exactly answer the question, and B.) her pronunciation of the 2019 film she starred in alongside Adam Sandler, Uncut Gems. And ever since the clip caught people’s attention,  the phrase Unkhut Jehhhmms has just been popping into our heads at random intervals.

But what exactly was going on with Julia when she said it?

Well, it seems there might have been a reason for the hilarious clip. Julia took to Twitter to explain, revealing she was high at the time. Tweeting, “Omggggg I was stoned leave me alone!!!! Hahahahahah.” 

That would explain a lot about…well, everything honestly!

Her explanation comes following her breakup with Ye. The pair began seeing each other in January but confirmed they had ended things on Valentine’s Day. A representative for Julia told E! News, “Julia and Kanye remain good friends and collaborators, but they are no longer together.” 

The couple was only together for around a month and a half, but they managed to pack a lot into that short period. 

Beginning their relationship with a highly public first date, during which, Ye directed a photoshoot of Julia in a restaurant and bought her a whole wardrobe’s worth of new clothes. Next, the pair went to Paris Fashion week together, rocking matching denim outfits.

Then Ye showed up for Julia’s lavished birthday bash in February. Gifting her Hermès Birkin bags, yes BAGS as in plural. Birkin bags at their cheapest will cost around €10,500, and Ye gave several to Julia and her entourage. 

Julia opened up about their breakup on her Instagram story, following rumours she was crying over Ye in an airport. 

Writing, “Y’all would love if I was soooo upset! The media would love to paint a picture of me a sad lonely woman crying on a plane by myself but it’s NOT TRUE!! Why not see me for what I am which is a #1 hustler. 

I came up y’all lol and not only that but Kanye and I are on good terms! I have love for him but I wasn’t in love w the man Jesus Christ what do u guys think I am 12 years old?!”

She continued, “And for the record the only time I cried in 2022 was on Feb 6th on my dead BFF bday. Anyway if u want the full tea ur gonna have to buy the book when it comes out. :)”
