Justin Bieber Denies Cancelling His Tour To Set Up His Own Church

“He's becoming the Tom Cruise of that church."

Justin Bieber announced yesterday that he’s canceling the final leg of his Purpose world tour, and while his team said it was due to “unforeseen circumstances”, sources suggest it may be something entirely different.

Multiple sources reportedly told TMZ that Justin’s decision to call quits to his 14 final shows is rooted in his relationship with church founder Carl Lentz.

Apparently the Despacito singer has an “intense” relationship with the religious leader and is increasingly influenced by the church in making life decisions.

As one source put it, “The church didn’t tell Justin to cancel the tour. He made his decision based on spiritual soul-searching and his own view of the path in life he should be taking.”

In fact, it was suggested that he might even be setting up his own church, with veteran showbiz reporter, Richard Wilkins, telling Today Extra, “I am led to believe that the real reason he has come off the road is because he wants to reconnect with his faith and he may be even planning to start his own church.

“We know that he was in (Australia) a few weeks ago having meetings and attending the big Hillsong Church convention”, he said.

TMZ added that an insider said, “He’s becoming the Tom Cruise of that church.”

However, Justin reportedly denied that this is why he cancelled the tour, telling a reporter, “No, you already know the reason”, as he went to buy sushi in LA yesterday evening.
