Kamala is Brat – How Celebs Have Shown Their Support For Kamala Harris
The apple doesn't fall far from the coconut tree
It’s official. Kamala Harris is likely to be selected as the new nominee for the Democratic Party in the upcoming US election after Joe Biden withdrew this past Sunday.
The current Vice President has now begun her campaign in the hopes of beating out former US President Donald Trump on November 5.
While we still have a few months to wait to see the verdict, plenty of celebrities have been vocal in endorsing Kamala over the last few days.
Charli xcx
She may be British, but Charli xcx is showing her support for Kamala. She simply tweeted, “kamala IS brat.”

The ultimate compliment if you ask us.
Kamala and her team have been embracing brat summer like us. Kamala HQ, Kamala’s presidential campaign X account, has changed its profile banner to a lime green background, with the text kamala hq being in the same black font as Charli’s Brat album cover.
Beyoncé
While Beyoncé has not publicly acknowledged her support for Kamala, she did allow her to use her song ‘Freedom’ for her campaign, a sure sign that she is on board with the new Democratic Party nominee.

Kerry Washington
Kerry Washington, whose character in Scandal is, funnily enough, a former media consultant for the President of the United States, has shown love for Kamala on X.
Sharing a photo of herself with Kamala, she wrote, “@KamalaHarris can and will win this! I believe in her and I believe in us. Let’s gooooooooooooo!”
In the name of democracy, @JoeBiden did a brave and bold thing. I’m tremendously grateful for his years of service – and I am awed by his selfless leadership.
Make no mistake. Our fight now remains EXACTLY the same. We must do everything we can to prevent another Trump… pic.twitter.com/HODoi7s28P

Kerry has also gotten on board with the brat movement by sharing a TikTok of her doing the viral Apple dance and captioning it, “If Kamala is BRAT, I’m BRAT #imwithher.”

She may be busy on her Guts World Tour, but that hasn’t stopped Olivia Rodrigo from acknowledging the recent news. She reposted a video of Kamala discussing restoring reproductive rights at her first campaign rally.
Olivia has been very vocal on this issue, and some of the proceeds from her tour tickets are going towards Funds 4 Good, which helps women seeking reproductive freedom.

Katy Perry
Woman’s World may be flopping, but Katy Perry has found the perfect opportunity to give her latest single a boost while also endorsing Kamala Harris.
She reposted an edit of Kamala dancing to Woman’s World on her Instagram story.
She also sang the beginning of the chorus, “It’s a woman’s world, and you’re lucky to be living in” in an Instagram reel posted just after the news was revealed with the caption, “That’s it, that’s the caption.”

Politics, especially in America, is extremely divisive, so it’s great to see so many celebrities with a large platform expressing their views and encouraging people to vote.
