Katy Perry, Ellen, Ryan Reynolds And Loads Of Other Celebs Star In Taylor Swift’s New Video
You Need To Calm Down is Taylor's new summer anthem
Taylor Swift is back with a summer anthem which aims to call out homophobes and transphobes.
The song You Need To Calm Down features lines like “Why are you mad when you could be GLAAD? (You could be GLAAD)” and “‘Cause shade never made anybody less gay,”
The video is loud and colourful, just in time for pride month and features about 30 celebrity cameos.
Taylor’s friends, frenemies (Katy Perry) and lots of our favourite LGBT+ icons feature in the three-minute vid.
Some of our favourite moments include Jesse Tyler Ferguson being married by Ciara, Ellen DeGeneres getting a tattoo in a camper van from Adam Lambert, and Taylor’s tea party with the Queer Eye Fab Five.
Of course, Katy Perry’s cameo is pretty standout considering the pair only buried the hatchet earlier this month. She and Taylor can be seen swaying together dressed as a burger and fries. A homage perhaps to Katy’s Met Gala look…
Then there’s Ryan Reynolds painting some pride-themed scenery and there’s still over a dozen cameos to spot.

It ends with a message asking fans to sign her petition for Senate support of the Equality Act on Change.org.
“Let’s show our pride by demanding that, on a national level, our laws truly treat all of our citizens equally,” it says.
The petition currently has over 200,000 signatures.
