Keke Palmer Talks About Embracing Her Sexuality: ‘I feel like love is love, life is life’

She’s an open book!

Keke Palmer has opened up about embracing her sexuality, and we’re totally here for it!

Keke has remained open and vulnerable over the years when it comes to her sexuality. But it was her appearance on Raven Symoné’s podcast The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda that had the Nickelodeon star chatting all about love and life in 2023.

During her chat with Raven and her wife Miranda, Keke revealed she hadn’t always shown her “queerness” to the extent she does now, due to her attraction to men.

She said: “There is an unsaid thing that can make you feel – and because I liked guys too, I was kinda like, ‘Well, we don’t have to talk about it.”

Adding: “Because I like guys too, it was like that’s another extra thing that no one really has to know about. I don’t really have to live out.”

Keke revealed she had a lot of issues accepting her sexuality at first but once she hit 17 everything changed for her.

She said: “There was a moment in my life where I was like, ya know, can I be myself? The moment where you overthink shit. That’s not even me, why am I overthinking this?”

Continuing on she said: “I ultimately just feel like the acceptance of that part of myself, in general, was part of my process of being able to have love in my life.”

She noted just how supportive and unbothered her parents have been when it comes to her sexuality.

Adding: “Sexuality and stuff like that, that was not even… my parents never even cared about something like that or talked about that. I know that by the time they saw how free of a spirit I was, and whoever I wanted to date, they were like, ‘Whoever cares.’ It was never anything that was in their mind.”
