Kelly Clarkson Just Helped A Couple Get Engaged And The Video Is So Sweet

Kelly Clarkson played Cupid to a couple from South Carolina while they were on holiday in Las Vegas this week. The 35-year-old singer helped Alex Malerba propose to his boyfriend, Justin, backstage at The Venetian hotel, and of course he said yes!

Alex had contacted Kelly and asked for her help with the proposal to which she said, “Oh my god bring him back here!”. So when Justin went backstage to meet Kelly for a supposed photo and autograph, he had no idea that minutes later he’d become Alex’ fiancé.

The trio took a picture together, before Alex got down on one knee and asked his love to marry him. Justin was so overwhelmed that he said yes through floods of tears.

“Oh my god, I’m so happy,” Kelly said before embracing the couple in a group hug. “I’m like a part of it! That was so beautiful. Congratulations!”

Upon learning that the couple had been together for four years, the American Idol winner said, “Damn! It’s about damn time somebody did. I’m like, ‘Shit or get off the pot!’”

Alex later shared a video and photos of the entire experience with the caption, “Asking the love of my life to marry me in front of the one and only @kellyclarkson was an amazing moment!!!! HE SAID YES”.
