Yesterday she ‘grammed a snap of her holding a bag of detox tea, with the caption “Couldn’t leave the house without my @FitTea detox”.
But what is it?
If you haven’t heard of FitTea or teatoxing before, it’s exactly what the name suggests — a ‘detox’ program that uses specially formulated teas that claim to offer a host of health benefits including weight loss. Some of these teatoxes last a week, while others recommend 28 days of use. In most cases, you order the products online.
And Kylie is teatoxing’s latest fan, following in the footsteps of big sis Kendall, who admitted she drank up to “12 cups a day” during New York Fashion Week to keep the weight off and to prevent any bloating.
Other celebrity teatoxing fans included Sarah Hyland, Scott Disick, Vanessa Hudgens and Lindsay Lohan who have all posted pics of the detox tea on Instagram.
But before you go splurging on this magic tea, nutritional therapists agree that detox teas might not be all they’re cracked up to be. The main advice? You should take into account other factors including diet, exercise, food habits and allergies.
