Have you spotted all of the tweets dragging Kylie Jenner for not paying the GoFundMe account she shared over the weekend? A lot of people were left wondering why she didn’t foot the bill herself, particularly because she knows Samuel Rauda – the person who the GoFundMe was created for.

Just in case you did miss it, let’s back up a bit.

Samuel was sadly involved in a horrific accident, and the GoFundMe was set up by his loved ones to help pay for his medical expenses, following a majorly expensive surgery.

Kylie shared the GoFundMe, encouraging her followers to donate after donating herself. It seemed Kylie donated $5,000 – which doesn’t seem a whole lot, considering Kylie is a literal billionaire.

Twitter was quick to drag Kylie, saying things like, “It’s not even about the fact that she won’t pay for the surgery herself. Every single last one of Kylie Jenner’s sisters is a millionaire. Her parents are millionaires. Her friends are millionaires. But she asked the MIDDLE CLASS for money. This family……” While another wrote, “kylie jenner bought her toddler a $15,000 handbag but is asking her fans for money”

Since then, Kylie has responded on Instagram, sharing, “I feel it’s important for me to clear up this false narrative that I’ve asked fans for money and am not paying for my makeup artist’s medical bills.

“Sam isn’t my makeup artist and unfortunately we don’t have a personal relationship anymore but I have worked with him a few years ago and think he’s the sweetest. I saw my current makeup artist and friend Ariel post about Sam’s accident and his family’s GoFundMe and I called Ariel immediately to see what happened to Sam.”

She continued:

“After learning in more detail about the accident it compelled me to visit his GoFundMe which was set at 10K. They had already raised 6K so I put it [sic] in 5K to reach their original goal and thought I’d post on my Stories to gain more awareness if anyone also felt compelled to share or donate. I don’t know how all of this got so twisted but his family has reached out through Ariel and are very appreciative of all the donations, prayers, and love towards Sam.

“Anyone that knows me knows that I do things from the heart and I try to be helpful whenever I can be. Let’s all stay positive and keep Sam, his family, and anyone you know who is going through a difficult time in our prayers. I hope you have a beautiful day and let’s encourage each other to help.”

As it turns out, once a GoFundMe goal has been reached, the goal continues to be increased on the site. Once their goal had been reached, it then raised to $60,000, then raised again. Hence where the wires got crossed.

Most importantly, is that Samuel makes a full recovery.
