2Fm’s Laura Fox has just released an exciting announcement – the radio presenter is adding TV presenting to her busy schedule as she’s set to host Ireland’s Fittest Family.

In a gushing Instagram post Laura shared that she’s always loved the show and has “adored” watching former presenter Mairead Ronan over the last decade. In a very sweet recognition of Mairead’s years on the show, Laura added that she has “big boots (and raincoats) to fill”.

Laura went on to say how excited she is to get started working with the “amazing” crew and coaches, one of who is also a new addition to the show. Sonia O’Sullivan, olympic champion in track and field, will be replacing coach Anna Geary, who is expecting a baby this Summer.

Alan Tyler, Head of Entertainment Commissioning at RTE, said that the team are “delighted” to welcome both Laura and the “legendary’ Sonia onboard. He went on to describe Laura as a “rising star”, highlighting that the show is a “positive celebration of fitness, focus and family”.
