Laura Whitmore Has Landed Her First Ever Movie Role

Is there anything that Laura Whitmore can’t do?
The presenter has now revealed that she is taking the silver screen by storm.
Laura took to social media to reveal that she had been cast in her first movie.
She will be making her first big screen appearance in A Mother for an Hour.

The film follows a woman who lies and says she is the lost mother of a dying child. Her words change her life and push her down a rabbit hole of deceit.
The project is already in the works, with Laura sharing some behind-the-scenes snaps from set.
She shared a picture of herself in wet Newcastle getting into her trailer which revealed her character’s name – Michelle.
She went on to post a snap of her in the makeup chair getting ready to film a scene.
“Get into the movies they said… it will be really glamorous they said @goldfinchuk,” she captioned the post.
The film is being made by production company Goldfinch which worked on the Oscar winning Irish film. An Irish Goodbye.
A Mother for an Hour also stars Tamer Hassan, Asia Argento, Frances Barber and Erin Ainsworth. It is directed by Giga Agladze.
While it might be Laura’s first movie role, it’s not her first time acting. . In 2022, she appeared in Danny Robins’ supernatural play 2:22 A Ghost Story, alongside Busted’s Matt Willis.
