Laura Whitmore Has Shared The V Cute Story Of How Her And Ian Stirling Met

Laura Whitmore has just shared the story of how she and her now-boyfriend, Ian Stirling first met, and let’s just say it gives faith to all us hopeless romantics. 

Recalling her memory on The Duffle Bag’s podcast, Laura said that in true millennial fashion Ian slid right into her DM’s a number of years ago, and asked her about… her dog? Smooth. 

“He used to send me random messages, DM me and ask me about my dog”

After nine months of chatting back and forth (about her dog, we assume?), Laura eventually had enough and bit the bullet and asked Ian out. 

“I was like, ‘Let’s just go for a drink’”. 

Laura also said that during their first date Ian was a bag of nerves, refusing to flirt. 

“When we first met he didn’t even hit on me, he was too nervous to hit on me!”

Well, things certainly worked out regardless, as the two have been together since 2017, quickly becoming one of our fave celebrity couples. 

Both Laura and Ian now live together in London and have recently become work colleagues as Laura has taken on the role of the presenter of hit reality TV show Love Island. 

The pair have been openly supportive of one another in the wake of their friend, Caroline Flack’s death. Taking to social media, Ian said that the Bray native has been “more incredible than I could have ever imagined”, while Laura often praised Ian for his bravery. 

The pair are set to be back on our screens this summer, as production for Love Island begins again.
