Liam Payne’s New Song Is Here And It Includes A Blatant Dig At One Direction

He also dissed Harry Styles' new music and fans are not impressed.

Liam Payne’s new song Strip That Down dropped overnight and while it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, it’s definitely super catchy.

He’s the fifth and final member of One Direction to release a solo single, and the 23-year-old has thrown major shade at his former band in the new tune.

In the official lyric video on YouTube, Liam sings, “You know I used to be in 1D now I’m out free,” and people are surprised by his blatant dig at the group and management that made him so famous in the first place.

It’s not the first time the father-of-one has dissed One Direction, as he recently admitted he doesn’t like Harry Styles’ new music. Speaking to Music Choice yesterday, he said, “Harry’s song I heard, and I’ll be honest with you, it’s not my sort of music. It’s not something I’d listen to, but I think he did a great job of doing what he wanted to do. That’s the way I’d put it best, I think.”

Fans of 1D are none-too-pleased with his mightier-than-thou attitude, and have been voicing their thoughts on Twitter. One person said, “Liam is really throwing shade at 1D in his new song and at Harry’s music?????? Lmfao I’m done.”
