Have your Tinder matches gone a bit quiet? You could be swiping at the wrong time.

Depending on whether you’re looking for love or just for a one night stand, the time you’re doing the most Tinder swiping could differ. However, Tinder has done some research and found out the most common day and time to get matches.

According to their research, the most popular day of the week to swipe in 2018 was Monday. The best time was between 6 and 9pm, and the most active month was August.

We have to admit, Monday is a little bit surprising, we don’t see why people would be swiping like mad then, other than because they’re bored. The time, however, seems legit. Bus home from work? Swiping. Vegging out on the ouch? Swiping.

The study also showed that the word “pizza” was the food most people mentioned in their bios, and the “How you doin'” Joey GIF from Friends (also the most popular show shouted out in bios) was the most commonly-used GIF (presumably as an opener).
