Love Island star Tasha Ghouri has taken a leaf out of another alum’s book and penned her first book of fiction.

Tasha rose to fame on the eight series of the popular dating show, finishing in fourth place alongside her boyfriend Andrew Le Page. The couple have been going strong ever since.

The 25-year-old was the first contestant in Love Island history to enter the show deaf and wearing a cochlear implant. It’s only right that her first work of fiction includes a deaf main character. Her brand new novel, Hits Different, follows the life of Cassie, a deaf dancer as she navigates life, love, and everything in between.

Tasha teamed up with author Lucy Huxley-Jones to bring us this “gorgeous summery romance,” which is set to hit shelves in June 2024.

Taking to Instagram, Tasha wrote: “I’m sooo excited to introduce HITS DIFFERENT – my first ever book, written with the amazing @littlehux! It’s a gorgeous summery romance about Cassie, a deaf dancer who jets off for a hot summer in Ibiza ☀️✈️ this is a story about finding self-love and falling in love which is really based on my own personal experiences and Cassie has characteristics of me! so it’s super special and I can’t wait to share it with you all! It’s out June 2024 from @HotKeyBooks and available to pre-order now via the link in my bio or from your local bookshop 💕🧚‍♀️”

Tasha, who is a dancer herself, says the book is about self-love and falling in love and while the story was influenced by Tasha’s life, it is not a biography.

The blonde beauty says Cassie, the main character, is such an important person for her to share with the world as she “has characteristics of me”.

She said: “It’s super special and I can’t wait to share it with you all! It’s out in June 2024 from Hot Key Books.”

Hits Different will hit bookshelves in June 2024 just in time for the summer holidays.
