Love Island’s Georgia Admits She Was ‘Very Shocked’ After Seeing The Footage Of Her And Jack Kissing

About time, eh.

On last night’s episode of Love Island, we saw Georgia and Sam leave the villa after refusing to couple up with anyone else. Shocker!

Georgia has been quite the controversial character over the past few weeks, rubbing both her fellow islanders and the public up the wrong way on a few occasions – branding herself as ‘loyal’ time and time again, and splitting up with Sam to stay on the island instead of going home as a couple (something they reckoned would prove to the other islanders that they were committed to each other).

Following their split, however, the pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other and discovered that they constantly gravitated back to one another, coming to the conclusion that they should leave together.

In her first interview after being dumped, Georgia addressed that infamous kiss she had with New Jack, which caused multiple bust ups in the villa. On the show, G remained adamant that the kiss was mutual, but viewers could see that it was her who went in for a smooch with a reluctant Jack.

She admitted that the date with Jack had been “very flirtatious”, but that she was “very, very shocked” when she finally watched the footage back.

“That is not how I remembered it at all,” she said.

At the end of the day, things happen for a reason, I made a little mistake, I’m only human, and yes, I kissed him. It was only a kiss at the end of the day, I feel like it takes two to tango, and it’s going to take two people to kiss.

Georgia confirmed that their kiss had also been filmed more than once, saying “it’s a television programme, things have to get filmed at different angles, that’s how television works”. However, she stressed that “nothing is fake, nothing is staged, it’s all to do with how you feel, and if anybody is the person that acts on impulse and how they feel, that’s me.”

Georgia also spoke about her relationship with Sam in the villa, saying they have a ‘real’ bond that viewers didn’t really get to see.

We weren’t showy, we didn’t kiss for the sake of it, we didn’t hug because we wanted people to see we were compatible – we were just me and Sam. We had a bond that was real, we did let things run naturally, and yes, it is a shame that people didn’t get to see that, but at the end of the day, me and Sam were in a relationship and that’s all that matters.

Sam added: “We can’t be sure what [viewers] saw, but we were kissing and cuddling and all that, and we also did have small arguments – it’s a real relationship.”

Well, it turns our Georgia really was ‘loyal’ in the end.
