Love Island’s Mike Boateng Is Set To Face A Police Misconduct Hearing

The star has been accused of acting inappropriately while serving as a police officer

It has been reported that winter Love Island star Mike Boateng is set to face a police misconduct panel later this month.

The hearing is in relation to alleged improper behaviour during the time that he served as a police officer, prior to his reality tv appearance.

However, due to the current lockdown system in place in the UK, the hearing will take place via video link.

The story first came to light back in January, when The Sun reported that the 24-year-old was being investigated by the Greater Manchester Police.

In a statement released by the GMP, they said:

“Michael Boateng will answer allegations that their conduct amounts to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour for Honesty and Integrity; and Discreditable Conduct contrary to the Police (Conduct) regulations 2012.”

The investigation concerns a young woman who claims she was approached by Mike in July of 2018 when she was 17 years old. The woman says that the star approached her while wearing his uniform before asking her if she would like him to “show her a good time” and then asking for her number.

When the news broke back in January while Mike was still in the Love Island villa, his family quickly jumped to his defense. They said that they believed the allegations were a ploy to tarnish Mikes now high profile character.

“We believe there is a clear attempt to tarnish Mike’s character.”

Mike is still currently dating Priscilla Anyabu who he met during the show, the two are believed to be isolating together.
