Luca Bish Releases Video Of How He Asked Gemma To Be His Girlfriend

It’s official!

Luca and Gemma have put a label on it, the couple who have been going strong since very early on in this series of Love Island but never made it official inside the villa as Gemma wanted to make sure her family approved.

Since leaving the show after placing second, we’ve seen Luca join them on a family holiday, visit the Owen family home and get the seal of approval from her dad, football legend Michael Owen.

But the pair were not official for a good while after the show, only announcing that they are now boyfriend and girlfriend yesterday with Luca sharing a video of a very elaborate popping of the (will you be my girlfriend) question.

The event included roses, a pool full of balloons that read “be my girlfriend”, musicians and a Cartier bracelet.

The 19-year-old dressage rider told Brian and Fionnula on The Six O’clock Show earlier this month, “Now we’ve got the approval, the balls in his court. Just waiting for him.”

Gemma has since posted some behind the scenes snaps from the day with the caption, “Finally official. Thank you @lucabish for such a special night!”
