Matt Damon Is Returning To Ireland And Casting Extras For New Movie

If you asked me to summarise the height of the lockdown, one image really springs to mind, and it’s that of Matt Damon using a SuperValu bag to hold his wet togs and towels. Heading down for a dip in Dalkey, while accidentally ending up in lockdown there, Matt quickly became one of our own, and while speaking on SPIN1038, his love for Ireland and the Irish was real.

So much so that he’s coming back. Well, his movie commitments are bringing him back, but all the same we’re looking forward to welcoming him here again, as he plans to hang around for another while, filming The Last Duel, that you could even star in.

Yep, Matt and the production company are looking for movie extras for the flick. Based mainly around Dublin and the surrounding area, the casting call is looking for basically everyone to apply, with a very broad description of who is needed.

The casting call is looking for men and women of a thin, medium or broad build, those who are sporty, those with crooked or missing teeth and those who are not afraid to dye their hair.

It also is looking for those with a fun talent like juggling, axe throwing, instrumental skills, as well as those in industries like farming, blacksmiths, baking and marching to name a few.

Lastly, the casting call is also looking for babies, families and siblings. So, yeah, something for everyone and most importantly, the chance to join Matt Damon, Adam Driver and Jodie Comer.
