Our reality star girl, Maura is back… and this time it’s in Fiji!

Maura Higgins has just been announced as the social media ambassador for this year’s first-ever Love Island Games.

The iconic ex-islander from county Longford is one of Love Island’s most memorable contestants from series 5. She’s the full package; hilarious, confident, and gorgeous! What’s not to love?

Fans have been patiently waiting for the release of the brand new celebrity cast, in hopes that Maura would be one of them. People will be pleased to find out that she will be making her return in the spin-off, although it won’t be as they anticipated.

Just last night, she took to her Instagram with a post which she captioned, “BACK IN FIJI!!!!! Excited to be giving you all the behind the scenes gossip for the first ever #LoveIslandGames …Can’t wait for you to see what’s in store…”

Maura also took the Love Island USA’s Instagram by storm in a video where she confirmed her position as the social media host and gave an insight scoop of the drama that’s to come!

“Hello everyone… Bet you didn’t expect to see me back here! I’m Maura Higgins, your Love Island Social Host.

“The drama is about to reach new heights… we’ve got some of your favourite all-star islanders all the way from the UK, US, Australia, Europe and more”, she revealed.

Looks like Maura has bagged herself a permanent place on the show’s behind the scenes where she won’t have to put up with heads turning and fans won’t have to live in fear of her getting dumped from the island… Sounds ideal!

The Games are set to commence on Peacock from Wednesday, November 1st, with brand new episodes set to be released six out of seven nights.

For those of us in Ireland or the UK, all episodes are available to subscribers of Sky or NOW TV.

Bring on a whole two months of great television.
