It’s official; love is dead.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth tied the knot last year after ten years together, and have now confirmed they have split up less than a year later.

The news was today confirmed by E! News, who reported a statement from Miley’s rep.

“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time”

Adding, “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers.

“They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

The pair have yet to say anything publicly but our hearts are well and truly broken.

Lets take this moment to reminisce on their fairytale wedding… The dress, the flowers, the suit. How did it all go so badly wrong?!

The pair were previously engaged back in 2012, but split two years later. Their reconciliation then saw them take the big step after their home was lost in last year’s California wildfires, something that Miley credits for their decision.

“I’m not sure without losing Malibu, we would’ve been ready to take this step or ever even gotten married, who can say?,” the Wrecking Ball singer told Vanity Fair magazine.

“But the timing felt right and I go with my heart. No one is promised the next day, or the next, so I try to be in the now as much as possible.”

Brb…. sobbing.
