Miley Cyrus Gets Candid About Her Divorce

Miley Cyrus has opened up about the end of her marriage to actor Liam Hemsworth.

The Flowers singer got candid about her divorce in a TikTok series for her new song, Used To Be Young.

She shared that there came a time toward the end of her ten year relationship that she felt it was over.

Speaking of the music festival in 2019, Miley said, “So Glastonbury was in June, which was when the decision had been made that me and Liam’s commitment to be married just really came from…a place of love first, because we’ve been together for 10 years, but also from a place of trauma and just trying to rebuild as quickly as we could.”

She explained how as she prepared for her live show, she realised the marriage had to come to an end. “The day of the show was the day that I had decided that it was no longer going to work in my life to be in that relationship.”

Miley added that at that point in her life, she was still prioritising her career over herself.

“So that was another moment where the work, the performance, the character came first…I guess that’s why it’s now so important to me for that not to be the case.
