Miley Cyrus Has Issued An Important Reminder To Fans About Consent After She Was Groped

Miley Cyrus has been forced to issue a stark reminder about consent after an incident with a fan.

The singer was walking through a crowd of fans with husband Liam Hemsworth when a man tries to grab her by the hair, and then wraps his arm around her and pulls her in to kiss her on the cheek.

Unfortunately, there were lots of trolls on the internet that said her lyrics, actions or outfits had something to do with the harassment.

“You wanted to be ‘sexy’ what did you expect,” was one of the ridiculous comments. Another was: “Well what do they expect when they dress like whores and I like some of her songs.”

Reacting to these awful comments, Miley reminded fans about the importance of her freedom.

“She can be wearing what she wants. She can be a virgin. She can be sleeping with 5 different people. She can be with her husband. She can be with her girlfriend. She can be naked. She CAN’T be grabbed without her consent,” she said on social media.
