Molly-Mae Hague has opened up about her inner circle, explaining that she has five friends and that she’s “not bothered” about having a social life.
During an episode of Diary Of A CEO podcast, Molly was asked by host Steven Bartlett if she has a lot of friends. “No, I don’t,” she revealed.
“Straight up no, no I don’t. My circle is minuscule. I have literally about five people in my circle, and that includes friends. I have acquaintances and I have people in my life that I say are my friends but, no, my circle is absolutely tiny. And I like it that way, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I work, I spend time with my boyfriend and I go to bed. That is literally my life.”
She then explained that she’s not a huge fan of going out and socialising, adding: “I’m not bothered about a social life. It’s never been something that I’ve been interested in … I don’t really drink, I don’t party, I don’t go out.

“But that is just because I actually don’t enjoy it. It’s not for me. I’d rather just focus on making money, being successful and being happy.”
Speaking further about friendships, she continued, “Friends, they come and go… I find it a bit of a waste of time.”
Molly-Mae rose to fame during her time on Love Island, but explained that once she took part in the show she lost touch with a lot of her friends from home.
“I’ve lost a lot of friends since coming off Love Island because I don’t have the time. It sounds savage but sometimes friends, they just – not cling on, but they don’t add much.

“I’m not that girl from Hitchin anymore. I’m not that young girl that was a lifeguard at Hitchin swimming pool. That’s not me.
“I’m living in a different world now and a lot of my friends can’t relate to that. And even though I’m still the same person, my life and my circumstances are just so different that you do just naturally … people just fall off.”
She assured Steven she was okay with it though, explaining: “I’ve never needed lots of friends, I’m a bit of a loner”.
Molly also spoke about her achievements in recent years, including becoming Creative Director of Pretty Little Thing at age 22. To hear more, check out the full episode below.
