“My Issue, Not Hers”: Chris Clarke Finally Reveals The Reason Behind His Split With Jesy Nelson
He never understood why she was interested in him in the first place.
Jesy Nelson seemed madly in love with Chris Clarke for a number of weeks, appearing happy and flirty whenever they were spotted together – that is until they announced to the world that they’d split up.
While the Little Mix singer has been moving on, partying with friends and dying her hair a fresh platinum blonde, Chris has been speaking out about what really happened between the pair.

Chris told OK! magazine about how he and Jesy met on Instagram, saying “That seems to be the way to meet girls nowadays! She liked one of my pictures and I thought, it can’t be that Jesy, surely not, but it was. And it went from there really.
“Our relationship came at a difficult time, though,” he continued, “because the band were touring America, so we mostly spoke on the phone. She was only in my life for about three months. I didn’t understand why she was interested in me – I’m just someone from TOWIE. I always felt like second best to Jesy. But that was my issue, not hers.
Chris went on to explain how difficult he found the split, not because they’d had a row, but because her fans started to abuse him online.
“I’ve been trolled and it’s been tough. I used to think people who complained about trolling were making a bit of a fuss, but I’ve seen how bad people can get.”
But he is adamant that there’s no bad blood between him and his ex, saying, “Jesy and I ended on good terms, I didn’t use her.”
Chris is reportedly back with his ex and fellow TOWIE star, Amber Dowding, and is in a much happier place.
So now we know.
