#MyBlogLife: STELLAR Meets Keva Doyle From Blunt Blonde

Why did you start blogging?

It’d been something I’d been thinking about doing for a while, but it took me some time to build up the courage. I started writing but wasn’t sharing any of my posts until I got into the swing of it. The website’s something I loved creating and it took a bit of time to get it how I wanted it.

How often do you blog?

It really is seven days a week. I’ve been told I never put my phone down – I’m constantly online. I work full time too, so I write in the evenings and take photos at the weekend. Sometimes I wish there were more hours in the day!

What’s in your blogging kit?

I was a camera nerd for about a month, researching and looking at every YouTube video available before I took the plunge and invested in the Panasonic Lumix GF6. It’s a compact DSLR, so you get the quality of a huge SLR, but the neatness of a smaller camera. This is essential for bloggers as it’s something you want to be able to bring everywhere. The detachable lenses are also amazing.

What’s difficult about being a blogger?

Sharing your life on the internet can be hard but I’m lucky in that the majority of the time I get lovely comments from followers – but you can get the odd insult. Not everyone is going to like what you’re doing.

What’s your favourite blog category?

I like fashion, can eat for Ireland and will get on a plane at a minute’s notice – so it’s hard to say. Having a lifestyle blog allows me to share my love for fashion, food and travel with a bit of beauty thrown in for good measure.

And your beauty essentials?

Eve Lom cleanser is one of the best products I use, it’s pricey but so worth it. Your skin is something that you really need to look after.

What’s your favourite make-up look?

My favourite make-up look is definitely sun kissed. I don’t think you can beat that. The Laura Mercier Primer Radiance is something I use every day too.

Who’s your beauty inspiration?

Blake Lively – her hair and skin are always flawless!

Who’s your style inspiration?

I love Aimee Song, Poppy Delevingne, Sienna Miller, Reese Witherspoon and Blake Lively. Outfit inspiration comes from magazines and street style, and I get endless inspiration from Pinterest and other bloggers.

What item should we all invest in?

A good handbag. A classic black bag is something we all should have.

Where are your favourite places to shop?

I’m obsessed with Zara. Others I love are Cos, Maje, H&M, and Topshop jeans are amazing. I also love Revolve clothing and Asos.

Any hidden gems?

I love celebrating Irish designers, and although well respected I think Zoe Jordan and Danielle Romeril are definitely gems to keep an eye on.

What’s the most expensive item you’ve ever bought?

A pair of Michael Kors boots that lasted me years, they’ve now been replaced by a gorgeous pair of Stuart Weitzman 50/50 boots.

What’s your next big buy?

Jimmy Choo Abel Courts: they’ve been on my wishlist for quite a while.
