If there’s something that is always welcomed of a dull Monday, it’s the news of a celebrity pregnancy announcement. There’s always a bit gas, extravagant, or brow-raising to be fair. In the latest news, Nicki Minaj has announced that she’s pregnant with her first child, and we’ll allow you to decide if the announcement is extravagant or a bit gas.

Nicki kept things simple with her announcement, donning a yellow wig paired with the caption, “#Preggers 💛”.

And in other baby news, Love Island’s Marcel Somerville has announced that his girlfriend Rebecca Vieria is pregnant with their first child together. Marcel also revealed that the good news comes one year after Rebecca tragically suffered a miscarriage.

Speaking to OK! Magazine about how he discovered the good news, Marcel said, “I was in the studio with my headphones on and she tapped me on the shoulder. She had loads of pregnancy tests in her hand, just to make doubly sure. It was crazy! It’s my first baby and I’ve been waiting a long time for this, so it’s just mad.”

Taking to his Instagram to share the news, Marcel wrote, “This years [sic] been full of so many ups and downs across the world and I’ve recently experienced the scariest moment of my life but I’ve got some positive news for you lot”.

He continued, “I’ve been waiting for weeks to let you all know! I’m so excited!!! Me and my beautiful @rebeccavieirax are about to join the wonderful world of parenthood!!! Babies on route!!!”
