Nicole Kidman Has Opened Up About Suffering Two Miscarriages While Married To Tom Cruise

Nicole has opened up about the two miscarriages she faced while she was married to Tom Cruise 25 years ago.

In an interview with Tatler magazine, the actress revealed the pain she went through after going though a miscarriage and an ectopic pregnancy which left her with a “huge, aching yearning.”

“I know the yearning. That yearning. It’s a huge, aching yearning. And the loss! The loss of a miscarriage is not talked about enough,” she told Tatler. “That’s massive grief to certain women.”

She married Tom Cruise in 1990 and shortly after, at the age of 23, lost a child due to an ectopic pregnancy. An ectopic pregnancy occurs when the embryo attaches outside the uterus.

She managed to get pregnant again, but suffered from a miscarriage around the time Tom filed for divorce in 2001, after 11 years together.

In 2007, Nicole revealed to Marie Claire, “From the minute Tom and I were married, I wanted to have babies.”

After her first marriage, the pair decided to adopt two kids, Isabella and Connor. ‘There’s an enormous amount of pain and an enormous amount of joy on the other side of it,’ Nicole said of becoming a mother.

‘The flipside of going through so much yearning and pain to get there is the feeling of “Ahhhh!” when you have the child.’ Nicole is now married to country singer Keith Urban who she has two kids with.
