Obsessed With Netflix’s Too Hot To Handle? This Is When It Was Actually Filmed

Fans are binging the entire series in one night.

If you’ve a Love Island shaped hole in your heart right now, the chances are you have, or you’re about to hear about the new reality TV series that’s taking the nation by storm.

Landing on Netflix last Friday, Too Hot To Handle is the latest series that has fans glued to their screens, with many binging the whole series in one night.

The show follows a group of singletons looking for love but with one major catch, they can’t have any sexual interactions with each other if they want to leave the villa with cash.

So basically, if they kiss, touch eachother or have sex, there’s a charge for that and causes their prize fund to drop.

Yep, it’s cruel. But the eight episodes make for highly addictive viewing and now that the season is over, people want to know more.

Like, when it was actually filmed as we’re in the middle of a lockdown?

Well, if you had the same question, you’ll be shocked to know the series was filmed a full year ago. Speaking to Refinery29, showrunner and executive producer Viki Kolar confirmed:

“[The cast turned up] a couple of days before the shoot, which was the end of March 2019 and we filmed for 24 to 25 days in April 2019.”

Madness. But as the show has just wrapped up, this season’s cast seem to still remain under lock and key about their relationships formed in the villa.

Did Francesca and Harry make long distance work? Are Sharron and Rhonda still together after going official in the villa? And how’s our Cork girl, Nicole doing?

From our Instagram creeping skills it looks like things are still going good for our favourite couples, however, after keeping hush hush about the series for a whole year, we’re sure all the confirmed relationship updates will come out in the next week or so.

We’re dying to know more. You can stream the whole show on Netflix now.
