Okay So A One Direction Reunion Is Actually Happening

It has been months, and even years of speculation, but today we received the news we’ve been dreaming of, a One Direction reunion is actually happening.

It was none other than ex-dad of the group, Liam Payne who officially revealed that the boys are working together again.

Liam did an Instagram Live with Swedish DJ Alesso to talk about their new song Midnight, but people said ‘meh’ to his new song and pretty much only asked him questions about 1D.

“Oh my god dude… there’s so many One Direction questions,” Alesso said. “But I feel like I don’t want to put you on the spot because I know you can’t say too much.”

To our surprise AND delight, Liam was actually happy to share some exciting details about the boys working together again.

He said he’d been speaking to Niall recently on FaceTime and since “most of us are in London, we’ve been trying to arrange the first group FaceTime with the boys at the moment.”

He added, “I can’t say too much. Louis told me off for revealing a bit of our plans the other day, so you’re going to have the group chat telling me off.”

They have a group chat… our hearts!

However, it does seem like bad boy of the group Zayn is keeping up his aloof act, as Liam hinted that there would only be four members present at the upcoming reunion.

“You can come in and fill in for Zayn and join the band,” he said.

We do know that all of the boys and the One Direction account have refollowed Zayn on Instagram recently, hinting towards a burying of the hatchet.

Of course like everything else, the coronavirus pandemic is likely to push it back to next year or later, but sure we’ll take what we can get.

In the meantime, we’d be delighted to see a virtual reunion, boys?
