One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson Is Planning To Start His Own Management Company
Perhaps he'll be the person to sign the next big boy band?
As the members of One Direction get all grown up (even writing that has made us feel ancient) things are changing. Zayn has a baby, Harry is now regularly acting, Niall is just getting better and better and now Louis has revealed he wants to start his own management company.
The singer appears to be following in Simon Cowell’s footsteps as he announced the news to Twitter this weekend saying that his goal is to help new artists.
Louis also shared that this side of the industry is something he’s been interested in for some time, but that he was unable to before as he had an ‘imprint’ or ‘trademark’ which meant he was unable to sign another artist without someone else’s blessing.
So I’ve decided to put it out there in the world today. I’m going to start my own music management company to help develop new artists. Watch this space

However, he is now pursuing his dream saying on Twitter; “I always dreamed of having my own label, having an imprint never really worked for me because I still had to have someone else’s blessing to sign people.”
“People I believed in massively but unfortunately didn’t fit the traditional pop role, hence never doing the deals…So I’ve decided to put it out there in the world today. I’m going my own music management company to help develop new artists. Watch this space.”
“I just wanted to take the first step of actualising the idea but at this stage that’s all this is. An idea! P.s. a management company not a label”

Many fans were instantly concerned that this meant the 29-year-old would no longer be continuing with his solo career. He quickly reassured them that this was not the case simply replying “no” when someone asked if this would impact his tour or future albums.
At the moment this is just the first step and it seems the star is putting it out there to have some accountability sharing that; “Sometimes action is needed first to encourage the motivation and belief.”
