There’s nothing we love more than one of our own doing well both at home and abroad, and for Paul Mescal it seems his star is still rising.
The Irish actor has just been featured in Forbes Magazine’s iconic ’30 under 30′ list. Published every year, the list looks at who are the ones to watch and Paul bagged himself a mention in the entertainment category.

The Maynooth native has been acting for some time but shot to fame after his portrayal of Connell Waldron in the BBC adaptation of Sally Rooney’s book Normal People last year.
His emotional and at times gut wrenching performance won the hearts of many and has propelled him into the spotlight. There were rumours for a time that he was tipped to be the next James Bond and he’s currently working on a film with none other than Harry Styles.

The 25-year-old was featured on Forbes’ list alongside his co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones. It reads; “Before starring as Connell in ‘Normal People’ and receiving an Emmy and a Critics’ Choice Award nomination, Mescal had appeared in several consecutive leading stage roles in both Dublin and London as well as appearing in the TV drama ‘The Deceived,’ the short film ‘Drifting,’ and playing the title role in Martin McDonagh’s critically-acclaimed ‘The Lieutenant of Inishmore.’”
“Mescal is due to star in Maggie Gyllenhaal’s directorial debut ‘The Lost Daughter,’ and as the lead in Benjamin Millepied’s ‘Carmen’.”
The only way is up it seems for Paul!
