People Are Remembering Stephen Hawking’s Lovely Words For A Girl Upset By Zayn Leaving 1D
The scientist died earlier this week at the age of 76.
Earlier this week, we heard the sad news that legendary scientist Stephen Hawking had died at age 76.
The physicist is remembered for his thoughts and teachings on the universe, humanity and religion. As well as this, Hawking was also known for his wit and humour.
One example of his wonderful personality that has been remembered since his passing is the fact that he once offered comforting words to young girls who had been heartbroken by Zayn Malik’s departure from One Direction.
Back in 2015, a month after Zayn’s split was announced, Hawking spoke at the Sydney Opera House, appearing in holographic form on a giant TV streaming from Cambridge University in the U.K.
While answering questions, he was asked: “What do you think is the cosmological effect of Zayn leaving One Direction and consequently breaking the hearts of millions of teenage girls across the world?”
Hawking responded in the best possible way, saying, “Finally, a question about something important.”
My advice to any heartbroken young girl is to pay close attention to the study of theoretical physics. Because one day there may well be proof of multiple universes. It would not be beyond the realms of possibility that somewhere outside of our own universe lies another, different universe. And in that universe, Zayn is still in One Direction.
He then added that:
This girl may like to know that in another possible universe, she and Zayn are happily married.
Hawking’s reaction to the question shows that, despite his level of intellect and success, he was never snobbish. The world won’t be the same without him.
