Pete Davidson Brought Up Ex Ariana Grande During His Latest Comedy Skit

The throwback we didn't see coming!

After eight years on American sketch show Saturday Night Live, Pete Davidson is saying farewell. Making his final appearance on last night’s episode.

And for his last show Pete did not hold back, bringing up…well everything honestly. He spoke about the infamous Oscar’s slap, joked about his family , and even remembered his engagement to Ariana Grande.

Speaking about his co-worker Lorne Michaels, the New Yorker reminisced about the advice he offered when Pete and Ariana first got engaged.

Recalling; “I’ll never forget this, I called him when I got engaged and said, ‘Lorne, I got engaged to Ariana Grande after dating for two weeks,’ and he said, ‘Oh, hold on for dear life.’”

“It’s true! That’s what he said.”

Most of us will remember Pete and Ariana being engaged back in 2018, and when the pair broke things off, they kept things (relatively) peaceful. So Pete’s reference was probably good natured, and we shouldn’t expect any drama to follow.

After all the pair have brought up each other plenty of times since ending things.

Ariana didn’t shy away from chatting about their relationship post-breakup, and even dedicated a few songs to Pete and their romance. Most notably Thank U, Next, where she sang; “Even almost got married, And for Pete, I’m so thankful.”

While Pete has mentioned her in his stand-up routines since their split.
