Peter Andre Isn’t Having A Bar Of Molly Mae Slagging Italy’s Food
No more Mr. Nice Guy
Peter Andre has slammed Love Island star Molly Mae’s comments about Italian food being ‘shocking’.
Usually, Peter Andre is known for being TV’s nice guy, an unproblematic king some might say, appearing on Loose Women every now and again and making over people’s homes. But, it looks like Molly Mae’s comments about Italy’s food was one step too far for Peter, bringing out a different side to him.
In case you missed it, earlier this month Molly Mae posted a controversial snap while on a trip to Venice, where she said that Italian food is bad in Italy.
“One thing I will say about Italy in general… the food is actually shocking?” she said.
The statement of course ruffled a few feathers, with self-confessed foodie Peter taking to his New Magazine Column to share his thoughts.
“For me, Italian food is the best. I love the food in Venice and when I went to Rome the food was incredible,” he wrote.
“I love my pasta al dente and that’s exactly how it should be.”
Concluding his mini-rant, Peter maintained his nice-guy status, however, admitting that he doesn’t want to name and shame, but is a fan of both Tommy and Molly Mae,
“I like Tommy and Molly-Mae so I don’t want any Fury!”
Soon after Molly Mae’s post, she began trending on Twitter, with many users sharing their differing opinions on her statement.
“Imagine making a big deal out of someone not liking some food? Like I don’t get it. We all have different opinions and tastes,” one person said.

While another replied: “She can have an opinion, but airing a subjective opinion on people’s culture overall on social media is very naïve and the backlash was expected to happen to a degree.”
