Phase 3: Here’s All That’s Opening On June 29th

Things are looking good!

It’s official phase three is approaching and we’ve got a lot of normality coming our way from June 29th onwards (Yay!). As this has been a long anticipated phase, we decided to give you a little breakdown of what we can expect and what appointments you should be making now.

Hair dressers

Yes, FINALLY we can get out extensions, colours, highlights, chops, styles whatever you’ve been missing is available so soon. Hairdressers are allowed to open from June 29th onwards. Most would be taking bookings now so give yours a call if you want to get in there early.

Beauty Salons

Our nails need a manicure, our brows need a thread and we cannot wait to be a new woman after all of these openings, the glow up will be real. Beauty salons are also going to be open in phase three which is the answer to all of our beauty related prayers, having our hair and nails done will be such a treat. Again, check in with your local salon to see when they are taking bookings to secure your slot.

Spa facilities

Another very exciting addition is the opening of spas. Maybe you missed a date that has been moved, or maybe you’re just in need of some R&R. Luckily, you’ll be able to book in for your treatments in the next phase, what a treat.

Others among this category opening include: make-up application services, tanning, tattooing and piercing services and wellbeing services such as: chiropractic, massage therapy, acupuncture, reflexology and homoeopathy.

Driving schools

All driving schools and services will be back in action in phase three. This is great news if you were planning on getting started on the road in 2020, theory tests and driving tests and lessons will all be available soon, you’ll be behind the wheel in no time.

Education and childcare

All adult education facilities will reopen, as well as creches, childminding facilities and pre-schools which is great news for those parents heading back to work. Summer camps and

youth clubs will be allowed to recommence which the kiddos will definitely be excited about. Another treat is that all indoor and outdoor amenities for children will also return, anything other than games inside the house or garden will feel like a holiday to them.

Gatherings

Indoor gatherings will allow up to 50 people while outdoor gatherings up to 200 people will be allowed. Of course all health and safety precautions must be followed in these instances also, but this is big news.

Pubs and restaurants

The moment we’ve all been waiting for. Going out for food and drinks! Emphasis on the food, all premises must serve a substantial meal costing no less than €9 in order to serve alcohol. Dinner and some drinks sound good to us though, all places will have strict health and safety precautions in place in order to keep the experience safe and comfortable for both the customers and the workers.

Staycations

Hotels, hostels, caravan parks and holiday parks will all be open again and travel around the whole country will be allowed, meaning there’s plenty of opportunity for a staycation this summer if you’ve got the travel bug. There’s still plenty to see without going abroad.

Entertainment

Museums, galleries, theatres, concert halls and other cultural outlets, cinemas, music venues (excluding nightclubs and discos), leisure facilities and bingo halls will all reopen with social distancing rules in place.

Sport

Sporting activities may recommence, including: team leagues for adults and children.

As well as indoor gyms and exercise facilities, yoga, pilates and dance studios and public swimming pools. If the at home workouts aren’t working for you these will be great news!

Other

Other facilities like places of worship will also reopen. View the full list on the Gov.ie website here.

It seems like summer is truly about to start in July, almost everything we could hope for will be back open and the freedom to travel and see people is ours! Here’s hoping we can still make the best of it. Roll on phase three!
