Pride is in full swing and the gorgeous month of LGBTQ+ celebrations is quickly coming to a close for 2020. The month long celebration happens every year in June and is dedicated to celebrating the LGBTQ+ community, usually involving a number of festivities such as parades, parties and just overall fabulous events. This year, through unprecedented times, the community and its allies have had to use their imaginations to come together and celebrate while staying apart.

Although this year’s festivities have been different, they’re still as magical as ever, so if you haven’t got involved yet, here are a few events to join if you’re late to the celebrations.

1. Digital Dublin Pride Parade

On Sunday the 28th of June Dublin Pride are holding a Digital Dublin Pride Parade.

“We host the first Digital Dublin Pride Festival with a fully interactive virtual Pride Parade and a Pride Concert. Buildings will still light up for Pride, flags will be flying high across the city and our community will still be there to support each other,” Dublin Pride explains.

The parade will be a mix of live and prerecorded elements and is hosted by Paul Ryder and Eddie McGuiness. If the weather’s nice why not have a socially distanced garden party with you and a few close friends and watch the show together!
