Saturdays fans get ready, as Frankie Bridge has her bags packed for the Welsh castle. Talking about participating, Frankie revealed: “I’m scared of most things, but I want to push myself and show a side people have not seen before.” If you cast your mind back to 2016, you may remember Frankie’s husband, former Chelsea footballer Wayne, taking part.

“Ever since Wayne took part, he has been desperate for me to do it too and he can’t wait to watch me squirm and scream,” she shared. “My kids are still quite young, and they still think I am quite cool – so there is a very small window for them to watch it and not be embarrassed! I feel now is the time. I love the show so much too.”

Best known for portraying Aaron Dingle in Emmerdale, Danny Miller is one soap star who’s ready to take part in I’m A Celeb to show his own personality rather than his character’s. “I’m A Celebrity is the biggest show in the country and I want to show people what I am like as Danny rather than as Aaron,” he revealed.

“It will be nice for people to see me not crying but having a laugh! I am a fun guy at home and I’ve been known as Aaron now for 13 years – it’s good to step outside your comfort zone.”

I will scream afterwards.

“My mum thinks I am crazy to be doing it too and it hasn’t quite sunk in yet, but I am also really looking forward to meeting some new people from different walks of life.”

Naughty Boy, aka Shahid Khan, is the first chart topper in our 10 celebs, having had hits with none other than Beyonce and Sam Smith. Although he wants to show viewers what he’s like as a person, he also has another good reason for entering the castle.

Having previously opened up about his mother’s struggles with dementia, he wants to use his time in the castle to raise more awareness about the illness.

Dame Arlene Phillips, DBE

Making history as the show’s oldest ever contestant at the age of 78 (previously held by Harry Redknapp when he was crowned King of the Jungle at 77), Dame Arlene Phillips, DBE shared that isn’t going to hold her back. “I am always the oldest and so I am used to it.”

Continuing, she shared: “I think people don’t see the motherly side of me. I don’t think people know me and the real me is very different – I am very caring and I love that caring side of my life. I give myself so completely. I would like to take on the mum role in the Castle. Everyone is going to be younger and if anyone wants to talk to someone or share things with them, then they can with me.”

After leaving the BBC Breakfast sofa earlier this year after 20 years, Louise Minchin is ready for a new adventure. “It is very different to sitting on the BBC Breakfast sofa and it will be scary and daunting but it will also be lots of fun.

“I’ve driven past the Castle quite a few times and I am really excited for it to be in Wales again. This time last year I had a broken ankle and I literally sat on the sofa at home watching every single minute of it thinking, ‘Oh my gosh that Castle looks incredible, one day I would love to be part of it’ and now I am!”

Radio 1 Extra host Snoochie Shy has already revealed that she’s a ‘scaredy-cat’ ahead of entering the I’m a Celeb castle. Revealing that she’s also nervous about going makeup less while there, she shared: “I am a little bit nervous about it. People other than my family don’t know I have a birthmark on the right side of my cheek and so it will be the first time I am letting people know I have one.

“It has been an insecurity of mine in the past but I am also excited to face up to it.”

I’m a Celeb all kicks off this Sunday night, and will be entertaining us right through until December. We are READY.
