Ronan Keating Reveals Why He’s Worried For Son Jack On Love Island

"I worry about him in there with all those other guys."

We’ve all been watching Casa Amor on the edge of our seats because this year if you take your eyes off it for one minute you don’t know who will be cracking on!

Loyalty has gone out the window for most couples and there’s many a gasp inducing moment every night, which we are absolutely l0ving tbh. Bring on all the drama.

One new Islander who we’ve been keeping a close eye on is Irish boy Jack Keating, who has been spotted chatting to Gemma Owen, bonding over their famous fathers and flashing his Irish charm, but in general Jack hasn’t been the center of much drama in Casa Amor and there is a lot of it going on!

Jack’s dad Ronan Keating has shared his concern for his son after noticing he has been quiet on the show. Speaking on BBC’s The One Show he said, “He’s been on the shortlist for about six weeks now. We ‘ve known he could have been going in. It was a week before the announcement and he said ‘I’m flying to Spain tomorrow.’”

“He was very quiet, he seemed a little bit nervous which is understandable I guess…I hope he does okay. He’s got such a big heart and he’s a real softie. I worry about him in there with all those other guys,” he continued.

The former Boyzone star shared the fatherly advice he gave to his son before he went, saying, “I said ‘be yourself and have a good time.’ The bottom line is to be you. I hope people will see that and warm to him. He’s my boy, I want to look after him.”

Although he is rooting for his son, there was one comment he made that surprised him, when he told Gemma Owen that Ronan was “retired”, Ronan explained, “He did drop the line that I was retired. I fell off my chair. I’m doing The One Show next week. I’m in York tonight. I’m definitely not retired.”

Jack has not yet found a solid connection with any of the girls in Casa Amor, but it’s still early days!

We will keep an eye out for any budding romances coming his way!
