Sad Times! Kim Kardashian Had To Cancel Her 40th Birthday Party Due To The Pandemic

She also shared deets on the killer outfit she was planning to wear

For those of us born after March, celebrating our birthday’s this year felt a little (a lot) different from most other years. With no parties to organise or night’s out to attend, we’re all turning a year older rather quietly. However, proving that we and celebs, we’re all the same really, Kim Kardashian has revealed that she has made the decision to postpone her 40th birthday bash.

Knowing how big the Kar-Jenners like to go with well, everything, Kim’s 40th celebrations were set to be an extravagant affair, but the pandemic has put a halt to yet another occasion. Currently, in Los Angeles, only gatherings of up to 10 people are permitted, so that rules out Kim’s Wild West-themed b-day bash, which was set to take place this month as she turns the big 4 0 on 21st of October.

Speaking with Grazia about her canceled plans she said: “I had the best plan. It was going to be called Wild, Wild Miss West’s 40th Birthday.”

But of course, what’s a party without a custom made outfit?! Well, Kim says that she had guna sorted out too, “I had Manfred Thierry Mugler make me a metal costume. Like, a cowgirl costume.”

Manfred is the man behind Kim’s 2019 Met Gala look (you know the ‘wet look’ one), and has spent months working on Kim’s birthday look. So, never one to let a good outfit go to waste, Kim is hoping to postpone this year’s birthday party to next year, because as we can collectively agree – 2020 birthdays simply don’t count.

“I have it and it is insane. We did virtual fittings. I don’t even want to waste it on a party for myself with five people. I want it to be something,” Kim said.

“So, I’m thinking maybe next year. I can have it on my 41st. We can still call it my 40th, right?” Right.
