Samantha Ware Elaborates On The Story Behind Her Lea Michele Tweets
She revealed why Lea Michele threatened to 'sh*t in her wig'
Samantha Ware has opened up about her recent tweets claiming that Lea Michele made her life on set as a new actor a “living hell.”
Using racially charged microaggressions to call out the actress, Lea apparently said she was going to “shit” in “Samantha’s wig” and badmouthed her to fellow cast mates, which left Samantha feeling low and victimised.
Speaking in a recent interview with Variety, following Lea’s apology where she noted that she doesn’t remember saying such things but apologies for not being pleasant to work with, Samantha has expanded on those initial tweets and what it was really like to work with Lea Michele.
“When I tried to speak up for myself, she told me to shut my mouth. She said I don’t deserve to have that job. She talked about how she has reign,” explained Samantha. “And here’s the thing: I completely understood that, and I was ready to be like, ‘This is your show. I’m not here to be disrespectful.’ But at that point, we were already past the respect and she was just abusing her power.”
According to Samantha, Lea didn’t believe that she was taking the job seriously and so, would call her out anytime she laughed or didn’t appear to be acting on set, even when she was off camera.
Lea apparently even threatened to get the series director, Ryan Murphy to fire Samantha.
“I was goofing around when the camera wasn’t on me, and she took that as me being disrespectful to her.
“She waited until the scene was over and she stopped in the middle of the stage and did a ‘come here’ gesture, like how a mother does to their child.”
Continuing Samantha revealed that Lea said: “You need to come here right now.”
But Samantha “said ‘no,’ and that’s when she decided to threaten my job, and said she would call Ryan Murphy in to come and fire me.”

Many of Lea’s fellow cast mates have also spoken out following Samantha’s statement. With close colleague Heather Morris even agreeing that she was extremely difficult to work with.
