Selling Sunset’s Amanza Smith Has Spoken Out About The Sudden Disappearance Of Her Ex Husband

"About two months after my children’s father went missing, I filed a missing persons report"

Selling Sunset star Amanza Smith has opened up about the disappearance of her ex-husband, former NFL player Ralph Brown.

Speaking about being a single mother, suddenly, to her two children, 10-year-old Noah and 8-year-old Baker, Amanza says that being a single mother for the last year has been anything but a walk in the park.

“As of today, August 26, 2020, it is exactly one year since my children have seen their father,” Amanza told E! News.

Going on to speak about the mystery of her husband going missing from her life, she continued:

“He (Ralph) dropped them off at school last August 26, 2019, and we have not heard from him since.”

“About two months after my children’s father went missing, I filed a missing persons report with the Glendale police office.”

Continuing on, Amanza said that she eventually received information on the missing status of her ex: “I was redirected to an investigator in their office, but after reviewing my case they came back to me stating that he was not a missing person because there was no sign of foul play.”

“He had also sent me an email telling me that it was ‘not safe for the children to be with him right now,’ and I would need to keep them until his situation changed.”

After almost a year since receiving that email, Amanza still remains a single mother to her two children, with their father no longer involved in their lives for the foreseeable. The 43-year-old says that sometimes the pressure put on her to be there for her kids is a lot.

Telling US Weekly she says: “Their dad was very much involved. And so every week, I had one full week to myself and I dove in extra work as much as I wanted to. If I wanted to go on a date, go out with a friend or whatever, that’s when I would do it. So this has been a total change.”

You may remember Amanza opening up about her relationship with her children’s father on the last season of Selling Sunset, where we saw her battle for full custody of her kids. Explaining in a confessional interview in season 2 of the show she said:

“For the past seven years, they have spent a week with daddy and a week with mommy. And daddy’s a great dad, he’s very present but over the past couple of months stuff has really hit the fan and he’s basically just off the grid. And we don’t really know what’s going on. I just don’t have answers for them.”

Sadly, just over a year later Amanza still has no answers for her children, as her private investigator has not found any leads. She has reportedly also reached out to Ralph’s family members but was met with silence from them.

Going on to talk about what her love life is looking like at the minute, Amanza also told US Weekly that she’s ready to find a partner who isn’t in the public eye.

“I just want a regular dude, like, a regular business guy that goes to work with his briefcase. I would like to keep something secret.”
